2009: Odette launches
several new services to support the automotive industry. These
include: EDI
validation portal, OSCAR
Odette ID, Certification
Authority, OFTP2 Software
Interoperability Testing, Trust
Service.
Consortium led by Odette wins European contract to assist SMEs
in the automotive supply chain. The auto-gration project is to last
2 years and will deliver a platform to facilitate the participation
of SMEs in global digital supply chains.
2008:
Collaboration agreement signed with EDIFICE (Electronics Industry
B2B Forum).
Odette enters the non-production area with the publication of the NPMI (Non-Production
Materials
Identification)
recommendation.
The publication of the SCX (Security Certificate Exchange) recommendation is
the
first
step leading to the establishment
of the Odette
Certification Authority.
2007: The Joint Automotive Industry
Forum (JAIF) is formally established with an agreement
to work on global standards between Odette, AIAG, JAMA,
JAPIA and STAR.
The RFID returnable container tracking project goes
global.
Co-operation agreement is signed with eCl@ss to work
on material identification standards.
New OFTP2 implementation guidelines and an RFC to the
internet community are released, significantly updating
the already widely used original OFTP (Odette File Transfer
Protocol).
2006: Romania
(ACAROM) and Turkey (OSD) joined Odette as associate
members.
Odette XML Editor is launched to enable the easy
production of XML messages.
The Global MMOG/Logistics Evaluation is updated and gains wider and wider recognition.
Carriers and Logistics Service providers start to work within Odette for the
first time on specific performance assessment tools.
European co-ordination of automotive RFID activities is established focussing
on returnable containers.
2005: Formal agreement with Curitiba
University, Brazil to carry out local Global MMOG/LE
training for European companies in Brazil.
Logistics Key Performance Indicators recommendation
builds on the very successful global MMOG/LE which is
rapidly gaining worldwide recognition.
The JADM is updated to UN/CEFACT XML standards and STAR (Standards in Retail
for North America) join Odette, AIAG and JAMA in developing this important
joint global initiative.
2004: The first automotive XML recommendation
using UML modelling language is produced together with
AIAG.
The Joint Automotive Data Model (JADM) brings European, Japanese and North
American message entities and attributes together for the first time.
User and Access Management (UAM) in B2B Portals is released with the highest
level of company support ever.
The Global MMOG/Logistics Evaluation is created combining
European and North American versions into one powerful
tool.
DCP, VMI and Virtual Conferencing Recommendations are
all published for the first time.
2003: The B2B Supply Chain Monitoring recommendation is published
as the result of extensive co-operation in the industry.
An all new Logistics Agreement guideline is released,
the Global Despatch Advice message becomes the third
worldwide standard and the e-Forms/webEDI recommendation
is updated to cover all European requirements in one
document.
2002: The first
European automotive recommendations for Web-EDI are
released.
The Global Transport Label and
Global Invoice Message are the first two worldwide
standards to be published as part of the collaboration
with the AIAG and JAMA/JAPIA.
The Product Data Exchange recommendation
is released to help improve the exchange of assembly
data.
Odette
and the AIAG start to work together in a project to
combine their Logistics Evaluation and MMOG documents
and publish a single common version at the request
of multinational companies.
2001: Odette International
Limited is formally registered as a Company in the
UK, limited by guarantee. An all-new Board of Directors,
comprising senior executives from the European motor
industry, replaces the former Steering Committee.
A new B2B Functional Committee
is added to the organisation, working transversely
across the existing structure on B2B related issues.
2000: JAMA
and JAPIA (Japan) join with Odette and AIAG in signing
an MoU on the globalisation of UN/EDIFACT messages and
start work on the Global Transport Label.
Odette restructures itself to adapt
to members needs in E-business, Engineering, Data
Exchange and Logistics.
1999: Odette starts
to develop internet-based standards, such as e-forms,
to complement EDI for information exchange.
Initiatives towards globalisation
are increasing. AIAG and Odette sign a Memorandum
of Understanding defining the terms for development
of a global Transport Label.
The ENGPART message is published
to help improve the exchange of engineering design
data between partners.
