for the automotive supply chain

Next version of MMOG/LE is on the way

29 Mar 2022

Since its introduction in 2004, MMOG/LE has become the automotive industry standard tool for assessing the capability of the Supply Chain Management processes of OEMs and thousands of Tier1 and Tier2 suppliers.

SCM processes in the automotive industry never stand still so, to ensure that the tool continues to meet the latest developments and the latest trends in SCM, and is fit for the organisation of the future, the catalogue of audit questions is reviewed every 3 years.

Christian Aigner, SCM Planning Team Leader at Ford and Chair of the MMOG v6 Project Team explained: “Crisis arise from many sources and are unavoidable. However, the industry can prepare for those unforeseen events and MMOG/LE addresses many topics that help organisations protect their supply chain.”

Odette and AIAG members are now working on Version 6, under the leadership of GALIA and AIAG and have already defined the major axes of development to help secure supply chains, including:

  • - Increase implementation of SCM assessment processes with sub-suppliers.
  • - Accelerate digital transformation.
  • - Improve capacity planning.
  • - Raise awareness of Corporate Social Responsibility.
  • - Extend crisis management readiness.
  • - Reinforce cybersecurity.

The Project Team is working flat out to ensure that V6 will be available on the mmogle.com platform by April next year in time for the 2023 submission campaign.
