Odette Invoice Viewer & Converter Supports E-Invoicing Readiness
To support organisations during this transition, Odette provides the Invoice Viewer & Converter, a practical tool available free of charge.
The tool enables users to open invoices created in accordance with EN 16931 and display them in a human-readable format. It can generate a PDF invoice image for organisations that still rely on manual invoice verification and processing, helping them to cope with incoming e-invoices without the immediate need for full system integration.
The tool also supports companies who can already process invoices received in UN/CEFACT Cross Industry Invoice (CII) format but need to also be able to receive invoices created using the OASIS UBL syntax. During processing, UBL invoices are converted into the equivalent CII format, helping organisations manage multiple invoice syntaxes more efficiently.
Its value is not limited to organisations at the beginning of their e-invoicing journey. The tool also supports companies with established e-invoicing processes who need a practical solution to quickly handle multiple syntaxes, validate incoming documents, or bridge interoperability gaps between trading partners and platforms. The Odette Invoice Viewer & Converter has been evaluated and adopted by several major automotive manufacturers, demonstrating its practical value across a wide range of implementation scenarios.
By bridging the gap between traditional invoice handling processes and structured electronic invoicing, while also supporting interoperability between different EN 16931 syntaxes, the tool provides a practical solution for organisations operating in increasingly diverse e-invoicing environments.
