The Joint Automotive Industry Forum* has compiled an Automotive subset of the full list of Data Identifiers (DIs) specified in the ANSI MH10.8.2 standard which is published by MHI and maintained by its MH10 Committee for Unit Loads and Transport Packages.

The JAIF subset includes Data Identifiers which are currently used in the global automotive supply chain by member companies of the JAIF associations. In the MH10.8.2 standard, the DIs are placed into 26 alphabetic categories depending on the type of data that they identify, but the DIs currently used in automotive come from just 15 of these categories.

JA01 - JAIF Data Identifiers as used in AutoID in the Automotive Supply Chain is available to download free of charge.

*JAIF is an organisation established by the associations representing automotive supply chain companies in Europe (Odette), Japan (JAMA & JAPIA) and North America (AIAG). It has the mission to develop supply chain standards that can be applied across the three regions.

**MHI is an international trade association whose members include material handling, logistics and supply chain equipment and systems manufacturers, integrators, consultants, publishers, and third- party logistics providers.
